Carole Milne, a self-taught representational painter, was born and raised in Vancouver and started watercolor painting in the late '80s, and although she has since worked in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, she now works primarily in Oil, painting for her own enjoyment.
Her passion is painting and her inspiration is the wilderness in all its beauty - grasses and trees dancing in the breeze, animals with their grace and beauty and the relaxing feeling of rivers and ocean. It is no surprise that painting en Plein air is very important to Carole. Painting in the peace and quiet of nature is what she enjoys most. Her paintings have been shown in many venues and show in the lower mainland.
Carole has volunteered and worked in various positions on the executive boards of the South Surrey and White Rock Art Society, the Burnaby Artist Guild and as a board member of Semiahmoo Arts. She is a past member of Coquitlam Fine Arts, the Burnaby Artist Guild, Richard Major Group, Delta Artist Guild and Semiahmoo Arts. She is currently a member of the SSWRAS, and Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Fraser Valley Chapter of the FCA.

Nicomekl River, South Surrey, BC
The Nicomekl River in South Surrey is very close to my house and I often walk along it. It changes every day depending on the weather and folige. It starts in Langley, B.C., as quite a small stream and by the time it gets to us it is quite wide and then flows from us into the waters of Crescent Beach.
What's stopping you from following your next adventure
Credit to Art Durand Photography who gave me permission to use his photograph. He is my Cousin Meland Durand's brother in law. This reminded me of my trip across Canada in our motorhome, with my husband Bill. We came across a lot of dirt roads on the Prairies that said - Highway 97 or some such and it was literally a dirt road. We did lots of exploring and enjoyed the quite, blowing of the grasses and an occasional Toot of a Train.

Stan Wright's Ranch, the Cariboo
For about 30 years we had a log cabin on Rail Lake in the Cariboo. This was about half way into the cabin and this was Stan Wrights Ranch. He raised beef cattle. From this point if you kept on the road you arrived at Rail Lake and further East at Spout Lake, famous for its Ten-ee-ah Lodge. If you took to the left you arrived at Timothy Lake.
